Isabelle Jeanne Méjean (born November 29, 1980 in Nancy ) is a French economist and university professor .

Career, research and teaching

Méjean studied at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne , where she graduated in 2003 with a master's degree in economics . She then stayed on to do a Ph.D. - Studies at the university, which she successfully completed in 2006. Until summer 2007 she worked as a researcher at the Center d'études prospectives et d'informations internationales , after which she moved to the École polytechnique as an assistant professor . At the same time , she completed her habilitation at the Sorbonne, where she submitted her habilitation thesis in 2012. In 2014 she was promoted to associate professor with tenure track , and in 2017 she was appointed full professor at the École polytechnique .

Méjean's work focuses on macroeconomics and international trade , so far she has been particularly concerned with international wage and location competition.

For her work, Méjean has received several awards and research grants, including from the European Research Council . In 2017 she was one of the four nominees for the Prix ​​du meilleur jeune économiste de France , which was ultimately awarded to Antoine Bozio , and three years later she was ultimately awarded the award.
