Isak Schlockow

Isak S. Schlockow (born July 29, 1837 in Lublinitz , † July 2, 1890 in Breslau ) was a German forensic pathologist . He wrote various standard works on forensic medicine, medical and medical police. His handbook for the Prussian medical officer , Der Prussische Physikus , was widely known as "the Schlockow". Schlockow studied medicine in Breslau between 1856 and 1860 and received his doctorate with a thesis on the effects of quinine sulfuric acid on animal organisms. He also wrote some medical statistical studies on the spread of tuberculosis and health conditions in the mining industry . From 1880 he was the police and city ​​physicus of Breslau.
