The Isarwinkler costume is a traditional costume in Bavaria . It is named after the Isarwinkel , an Upper Bavarian region along the Isar in the Bavarian Alps between Bad Tölz and the district border 3 km east of Wallgau . The Isarwinkler costume is one of the Upper Bavarian mountain costumes. It is similar to the Miesbach traditional costume , but differs from it in a few striking ways.

For women, the green velor hat with a small chamois beard makes the difference. Also the “silk stuff” with the fringed shawl.

For men, it is the green jacket that differs in color from the gray Miesbach variant.

According to the Isargau Gauverband, the Isarwinkler costume is currently worn by three clubs. But it is also cultivated outside of these clubs.
