Paul Ernst Rattelmüller

Paul Ernst Rattelmüller (born March 27, 1924 in Regensburg ; † January 12, 2004 in Starnberg ) was a German home nurse , author and radio presenter .

Life

Paul Ernst Rattelmüller was born into an officer's family in Regensburg, where he also attended elementary school. He completed his Abitur at the Maximiliansgymnasium in Munich. From 1941 he was an artillery officer in World War II . After the war he worked briefly as a woodcutter, then his first work as a graphic designer, illustrator and photographer. He was a year student with the painter Prof. Karl Blocherer ( Blocher School ) in Munich.

The final decision to make book illustration and graphics a profession was made by Olaf Gulbransson . The first book he illustrated was a Latin-Baier edition of Eduard Stemplinger's Horaz in der Lederhos'n . Later he was the author and illustrator of articles and books on folk custom in Upper Bavaria. Festive Year was his first book that appeared under his name, a photo book. From 1955 he worked for Bayerischer Rundfunk. There he was the author of hundreds of programs and designed z. B. the series Boarischer Hoagascht . From April 1, 1973 to March 31, 1989, he was an Upper Bavarian district home nurse . He was responsible for the design of the Bavarian Prime Minister's flag and campaigned for the establishment of the Glentleiten open-air museum . He last lived (since 1961) in his house near Starnberg. He found his final resting place in the cemetery of the Starnberg district of Rieden, which belongs to the St. Peter and Paul branch church .
