The Ishikawa Sōgō Sports Center ( Japanese い し か わ 総 合 ス ポ ー ツ セ ン タ ー , Ishikawa Sōgō Supōtsu Sentā , about "General Sports Center Ishikawa", English Ishikawa Sports Center ) is a multi-purpose hall in Kanazawa , the capital of the Japanese prefecture .
history
The hall was opened in 2008 and has a main hall of 3,680 square meters and a maximum audience capacity of 5,019 seats. A second smaller hall with a size of 1,702 square meters holds 2,806 visitors. The building complex is owned by the Ishikawa Prefecture and is owned by the Ishikawa Prefectural Sports Association (English for [kōeki zaidan-hōjin] Ishikawa-ken taiiku kyōkai , [公益 財 団 法人] 石川 県 体育 協会 , "[non-profit foundation] sports association of Ishikawa Prefecture ”).
In 2011, British rock musician Eric Clapton performed here during his Clapton World Tour .
