Isidor Griessner

Isidor Grießner (born July 9, 1906 in Thumersbach , † October 4, 1983 in Fusch an der Großglocknerstrasse ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). Griessner was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1945 to 1970 . Grießner was regional councilor in Salzburg and from 1945 to 1952 regional party chairman of the ÖVP Salzburg.

Grießner worked as a farmer and was appointed to the economic council in 1950. Between 1934 and 1938 he was a member of the Salzburg state parliament and from 1937 to 1938 he held the office of a regional councilor in the Salzburg state government. Furthermore, Grießner was chairman of the Salzburg farmers' union between 1937 and 1938. After the Second World War, Grießner took over the office of mayor of the municipality of Fusch an der Glocknerstrasse from 1945 to 1974 and was president of the Salzburg Chamber of Agriculture between 1950 and 1970. In 1962 he chaired the presidential conference of the Austrian Chambers of Agriculture. Grießner represented the ÖVP between December 19, 1945 and March 31, 1970 in the National Council.
