Isinda (Pisidia)
Isinda (Greek Ἴσινδα) was an ancient city in the Pisidia region of Asia Minor . It can be localized in the present day village of Kişla near Korkuteli in Turkey near the ancient Termessos. In ancient times she minted her own coins.
The city was on an important road from Pamphylia to Caria. 189 BC The inhabitants of Isinda asked the Roman general Gnaeus Manlius Vulso for help when they were besieged by Termessos . Isinda is also mentioned in Strabo . There are few archaeological remains in the city.
The titular bishopric of Isinda of the Roman Catholic Church goes back to a late antique bishopric .
