history

Entrance area
Estonian coat of arms above the entrance

On the house built in 1901 by the architect Mykola Wyschnewskyj ( Микола Вишневський / Rus. Nikolai Vishnevsky ), the Estonian coat of arms emblazoned on the facade reveals the nationality of the client. The courtyard of the building housed the stables and the coach house. During the Soviet era, the building was nationalized and used initially for communal apartments and later as a normal residential building. Among other things, the Ukrainian poet Mykola Baschan ( Микола Платонович Бажан ) lived here .
