Isla Canela is a small Spanish peninsula in the Atlantic . It lies directly in front of the Spanish mainland in the mouth of the Spanish- Portuguese border river Guadiana .

Isla Canela is located south of the urban area of Ayamonte , is about 6.5 km long and up to 200 m wide. Today the island is connected to Ayamonte by narrow road embankments.
There are several hotel complexes and the beaches of Ayamonte on Isla Canela .
