The Isla Damas is an uninhabited island in the Chilean Coquimbo . It is located 76 km north of the city of La Serena in the area of the municipality of La Higuera. The island is part of the Pingüino de Humboldt protected area and is managed by CONAF . It is the only island in the protected area that visitors are allowed to enter. The island can be explored using a 1800 m long network of hiking trails. It is mostly overgrown with cacti.
