The Isla Damas is an uninhabited island in the Chilean Coquimbo . It is located 76 km north of the city of La Serena in the area of ​​the municipality of La Higuera. The island is part of the Pingüino de Humboldt protected area and is managed by CONAF . It is the only island in the protected area that visitors are allowed to enter. The island can be explored using a 1800 m long network of hiking trails. It is mostly overgrown with cacti.
