La Higuera is a municipality in the Región de Coquimbo in Chile. It includes the localities of Caleta Los Hornos, Chungungo, Los Morros, La Higuera, El Trapiche, Punta Colorada, Quebrada Honda, Los Choros and Punta de Choros . The main town of La Higuera is located in a longitudinal valley in the coastal cordillera directly on Ruta 5 .
