King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center (Buenos Aires)
The King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center , inaugurated on September 25, 2000, is the largest Islamic place of worship in Latin America . It surpasses the mosque in Caracas in Venezuela , which was previously considered the largest mosque in Latin America.
The mosque is located on the Avenida Intendente Bullrich , in the neighborhood of Palermo in Buenos Aires , Argentina , and has 1,200 men and 400 women place. The design comes from the Saudi Arabian architect Zuhair Faiz and covers an area of 3.5 hectares .
