The Islands of God's Mercie (German about: Islands of God's grace ) are a group of islands in the Canadian-Arctic archipelago . It is off the southwest coast of Baffin Island and lies between Markham Bay and the open waters of the Hudson Strait . In the northwest, Hector Island and MacDonald Island continue the island chain, while an extension of the Meta Incognita Peninsula is located to the southeast .
Administratively, the Islands of God's Mercie belong to the Canadian territory of Nunavut .
