The Islas Águila (Spanish for Eagle Islands , in Argentina Islas Andersson ) are six islands off the south coast of the Trinity Peninsula at the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . They are distributed from the entrance to Duse Bay to the part of the Prinz Gustav Canal that separates Vega Island from the mainland coast.
Chilean scientists made their designation in 1962.
