The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is a museum railway opened on the Isle of Wight in 1971 . The route runs from Smallbrook Junction station to Wootton. In the small community of Havenstreet there is not only a stop but also the headquarters and the depot of the museum railway. There is a transition to the Island Line at Smallbrook Junction station .

The museum train belongs to the Isle of Wight Railway Co. Ltd. and is also operated by this. Most of the operation is carried out by volunteers and takes place on most days from June to September and on other selected days in April, May, October and during the holidays.
Rolling stock
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway has twelve steam locomotives and three diesel locomotives . Numerous restored wagons are used for passenger transport, the oldest of which were built in 1864 and the newest in 1924. The museum railway also owns around 45 freight cars .
