The Israel Exploration Journal ( IEJ for short ) is a scientific journal that appears every six months.

The magazine has been published by the Israel Exploration Society (IES), which was founded in 1914, and has been published since 1950 and primarily covers topics relating to research in archeology , history and geography in relation to Israel and the surrounding areas. The editors are currently Shmuel Ahituv and Amihai Mazar , both professors at the Institute of Archeology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

The articles cover a wide range of time, from prehistory to historical epochs. The primary focus is the archeology of Israel.
