Issa Hassan
Issa Hassan ( Arabic عيسى حسن) (or just Issa by artist name) (born December 25, 1970 in Beirut ) is a Kurdish musician and composer. His grandparents were emigrants from Turkey .
biography
In 1982 Hassan became a member of the dance group of a Kurdish club in Beirut. In 1984 Hassan emigrated to France , where he became an employee of the Kurdish Institute in Paris . Through his musical work there, Hassan got to know Europe and European music. In 1988 he became a member of the group Koma Zozan . His musical style is characterized by the fact that he mixes traditional Kurdish music with flamenco and jazz and creates a new synthesis. His first music album was released in 1995.
