NK Istra is a Croatian football club from the city of Pula in Istria , not to be confused with NK Istra 1961 .
history
Founded in 1947 as NK Pula , in 1961 it merged with city rivals NK Uljanik Pula to form NK Istra Pula. In the Yugoslav league, the club reached the second division three times, in 1992 he was one of the founding members of the newly formed 1st HNL in independent Croatia. After three relegations in 1997, 2003 and 2009, the club is fourth class.
Stadion
The club plays its home games at the Veruda stadium in Pula. It holds 3,000 spectators.
Fans
The fan community is called Demoni , but curiously, they also support city rivals NK Istra in 1961.
