PT. Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia is an automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer based in Jakarta , Indonesia .

history

The first Indonesian repair and replacement parts business for Isuzu opened in 1943. In 1962 the state trading company Pantja Niaga signed an exclusive contract with Isuzu. The bon Pantja Niaga automotive division was spun off in 1974 and PT. Pantja Motors founded. It was a joint venture between PT. Arya Khariama (65%), Isuzu (12.5%), Itochu (12.5%) and PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) (PPI) (10%). PT. Arya Khariama is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk .

In 2008, Isuzu increased its stake to first 40 and then 44.94% in both February and April. At the same time, the company was renamed Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia . For 2016, sales of 17,000 vehicles were specified with a theoretical production capacity of 53,000 units.

Models

The models produced include the F series , the N series and the Panther . The Isuzu Traga , specially developed for emerging markets, has been in production since April 2018 .
