action

Itaewon Class tells the story of Park Sae-ro-yi, whose life is thrown off course after he hits a bully in front of all students and the teacher in his new high school in Pajin. Since said bully, Jang Geun-won, is the son of the founder and CEO of the food chaebol Jangga Group, Jang Dae-hee, this incident leads to the school eviction. Park Sae-ro-yi fails to apologize, and his father, a senior executive of the Jangga Group, is fired. The two then open a small restaurant in Pajin. Before it can successfully open, Park Sae-ro-yi's father is killed in a car accident caused by Jang Geun-won. To avert bad publicity, the Jangga Group disguises this act and a gardener is punished for the accident. With the help of his former classmate and friend, Oh Soo-ah, Park Sae-ro-yi finds out the truth and is about to kill Jang Geun-won when he is stopped at the last moment by two police officers. Park Sae-ro-yi was sent to prison for several years and, after his release, vows to destroy the Jangga Group and its founder Jang Dae-hee. With his young but very talented manager Jo Yi-seo and his other friends, his empire, which started as a small restaurant Danbam, grows bigger and bigger as the series progresses.
