Iurie Ciobanu

Iurie Ciobanu (* 1976 in the Moldovan SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Soviet- Moldovan opera singer ( tenor ).

Iurie Ciobanu began his vocal studies in Romania at the Music Academy in 1995 . He also studied from 1999 to 2001 with Ionel Pantea in Luxembourg at the Conservatoire de Musique. Ciobanu made his debut in 1996 as Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Romanian State Opera. Afterwards he gave guest performances at the Romanian National Opera in Cluj, the National Opera Bucharest and the Theater Magdeburg , here he was everywhere a. a. cast as Almaviva ( Il barbiere di Siviglia ) . Ciobanu also appeared as Nadir in Georges Bizet's Les pêcheurs de perles , as Boni in Kálmán's Die Csárdásfürstin and as Nemorino in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore .

Ciobanu has been a member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Linz since 2004 . He made his debut there as Tamino in Mozart's Magic Flute , as well as in numerous other roles in his field, including Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Truffaldino in Die Liebe zu den Drei Orangen .
