Ivan Hajek (* 1962 in Prague ) is a Czech accordionist and composer .

Life

Hajek learned to play the violin at the age of five and the accordion at the age of eight. After graduating from high school , Hajek completed a business school with combined training as a sales manager before moving to the West. He decided against attending the conservatory and instead attended private music lessons with Georg Schwenk.

He often appears as a street musician in Munich .

In addition to live performances and CD productions as a solo artist and with other musicians, Hajek appears as a composer for dance theater pieces and as a film music composer, including for Die Friseuse (2010). In total, he was involved in the music of 52 films of various genres such as Tatort or Hollywood films such as Julia Walking Home .
