Life

Mládek lived in Prague. His father was a lawyer and painter, which enabled him to learn to draw at an early age. However, he preferred to make music and formed the Banjo Band . It had its first appearance in 1966.

In 1968 Mládek emigrated to France to pursue his musical career there. A short time later he came back to Czechoslovakia , where he became known as a musician through the said song. In the 1980s he was also known as a comedian through humorous stories. His first work was published in the magazine Mladý Svět . In total he wrote eight books. Mládek is married and has one son.
