Ivan Noble

Ivan Noble (June 1967 - January 31, 2005 ) was a British science journalist in the online editorial team of the BBC in London. When he fell ill with a particularly aggressive brain tumor in August 2002 , he began to write his personal “ tumor diary” on the BBC website . He wrote on it practically from the time of his diagnosis until his death. Hundreds of thousands of people followed his diary and tried to back it up with letters to the editor. Despite chemotherapy and radiation therapy, he died at the age of 37 on the night of January 31st on February 1st, 2005. He left behind his (German) wife Almut and two children. A year after his death, his book Like a Hole in the Head came out. My tumor diary , which was based on his blog entries .
