Iveta Grigule

Iveta Grigule (born September 30, 1964 in Riga ) is a Latvian politician of the Latvijas Zemnieku savienība ( Latvian Farmers' Union).

Life

In 2013 Grigule joined the Latvijas Zemnieku savienība party ; previously she was a member of the Latvian Greens - both parties work together in the alliance Zaļo un Zemnieku savienība . In 2010 Grigule succeeded in entering the Saeima as a member of parliament ; she was re-elected to the Saeima as an independent candidate in 2013. In 2014, Grigule succeeded in entering the European Parliament as a member of the 2014 European elections in Latvia . Grigule joined the EFDD parliamentary group . After she left the group in October 2014 that temporarily lost the parliamentary group status in the European Parliament . Grigule had been a member of the EU-skeptical Europeans United for Democracy since 2013 .
