Career

Kresta, who began his career at NH Ostrau, moved to Iona College in the United States . Despite his tall body he was agile and a decent three-point launcher, which is why he was used in the position of the power forward as well as the position of the small forward. For the university team of Iona College he played 103 games on the field, on average he scored 6.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per encounter.

After four years at college, Kresta moved to the German basketball league in 2000 , where he played for the Mitteldeutscher BC and in two years marked around 11.0 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. After his time in Germany, Kresta had a very successful year in Switzerland at BC Boncourt in the 2002/2003 season . He celebrated the championship there, made it to the cup final and was also the best rebounder, second best passer and third best scorer of his team. For the 2003/2004 season, Kresta returned to Germany for a year and signed a one-year contract with TSK Würzburg . Kresta, who scored 11.8 points per game there, was even nominated for the 2004 BBL All-Star Game and also reached the semifinals of the German Basketball Cup with Würzburg. Kresta then left Germany and worked for the clubs Olympique d'Antibes , FC Mulhouse Basket , Etoile Charleville-Mézières and CS Autun Baskets for a total of five years in France until the 2008/09 season . After a year with his hometown club BK Nova Hut Ostrau , Kresta left the club in December 2009 and moved to the Canadian PBL in February 2010 to the Manchester Millrats from Manchester, New Hampshire (who later moved to Saint John , Canada).

Kresta was a Czech national player.
