Frailea pseudopulcherrima is a species of plant in the genus Frailea from the cactus family(Cactaceae).

description

Frailea pseudopulcherrima initially grows individually with depressed spherical, deep green bodies that later sprout and form small groups. The bodies reach a diameter of 2 to 4 centimeters. Most of the 15 ribs are divided into flat, rounded cusps. The approximately 10 brown, graying thorns cannot be divided into central and radial spines. They are sometimes curved, spread out, and up to 3 millimeters long.

The yellow flowers are funnel-shaped. They are up to 2 centimeters long and can reach a diameter of up to 3 centimeters.

Distribution and systematics

Frailea pseudopulcherrima is common in Uruguay . The first description was published in 1957.
