Ivan Todorov Stransky

Ivan Todorov Stranski ( Bulgarian Иван Странски * 6. April 1886 in Sliven ; † 29. October 1959 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian agronomist .

Life

Stranski worked as a professor from 1929. He founded the Institute of Soil Science of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences , of which he was director from 1947 to 1959.

In his scientific work he dealt with the research of the soils in Bulgaria as well as the fertilization, breeding and history of cultivated plants.
