Izabella Gustowska

Izabella Gustowska (* 1948 in Poznan ) is a Polish multimedia artist.

Gustowska studied from 1967 to 1972 at the Art Academy in Poznan, where she later taught for many years. With Bogumił Kaczmarek , Wiesław Krzyżaniak , Wojciech Müller and Lidia Zielińska she formed the artist group Od Now between 1970 and 1978 , which was active in the field of spatial installation and action art. From 1979 to 1992 she ran Galeria ON in Poznan . In 1987 she represented Poland at the São Paulo Biennale .

In her works, Gustowska uses and combines painting, graphics, photography, performance and video art. The works have been shown in the national museums of Warsaw, Wroclaw, Posen, Danzig and Stettin, the Victoria and Albert Museum , the Albertina in Vienna, the Museum of Modern Art Foundation Ludwig Vienna and the Oldenburg Art Museum.
