Ján Cífka (born April 12, 1909 in České Budějovice ; † August 21, 1978 ) was a Czechoslovakian skier who was active in the Nordic disciplines of ski jumping , cross-country skiing and Nordic combined .

Career

Cífka was part of the Czechoslovak squad at the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid . There he achieved 24th place in the individual ski jumping of the normal hill. In the following 18 km cross-country skiing he achieved a good 22nd place. In the Nordic Combined, after 11th place in cross-country skiing, he took the same place after jumping. In the final 50 km individual cross-country ski race, he finished 14th after just over five hours.
