János Balogh (born November 29, 1982 in Debrecen ) is a Hungarian football goalkeeper and former national player.

Career

Balogh first played for VSC Debrecen , with whom he was Hungarian champion in 2007 and two cup winners. During an interlude at FC Sopron , he also won the 2005 Cup with West Hungary. In 2008 he switched to the Scottish Premier League club Heart of Midlothian on loan , which signed him in 2009 for a transfer fee of € 200,000. After he had not played a game for the Scots since 2010, he moved back to Hungary in March 2012 to Nyíregyháza Spartacus FC , for which he was already active for a short time in the 2005/06 season.

National team

Balogh played once for the Hungarian national team . On September 12, 2007 he made his debut in a European Championship qualifier against Turkey (final score: 0: 3) . Before that he played for the U-14, U-16 and U-17 juniors of Hungary .
