János Volner

János Volner (born September 28, 1969 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian politician and member of the Hungarian parliament . Since 2012 he has been vice-president of the Jobbik party and from 2016 to 2018 the post of parliamentary group leader of the party. He has been a non-attached member of parliament since October 2018 and is now a member of the Mi Hazánk Mozgalom party .

Life

He started working as a salesman before he was 18. He made up his Abitur in 1988 alongside his job. Between 1989 and 1994 Volner worked for the Hungarian police, where he received several awards for his successful work. In 1994 he switched to business life, as a manager he gained a lot of experience in the retail sector.

Political career

In May 2012 he was elected vice-president of the Jobbik party. He was active in the party's economic committee.

In the 2010 parliamentary elections , he won his seat on the Jobbik party's national list. He was named vice chairman and served as vice president of the Committee on Economics and Information Technology.

In the parliamentary elections in 2014 , he received his mandate by taking third place on the state list of the Jobbik party. Since then he has been Chairman of the Corporate Development Committee and a member of the Economic Committee. He was vice chairman of the parliamentary group until 2016, and from the resignation of Gábor Vona until 2018 he was parliamentary group chairman of Jobbik.

In October 2018 he was expelled from the Jobbik parliamentary group due to his criticism of the party and has been a non-attached MP since then. He then became a member of the Mi Hazánk Mozgalom party .

Volner is married for the second time and has two grown children from his first marriage.
