Jérôme Vallet

Jérôme Vallet (born January 18, 1667 in Paris , † around 1722) was a French engraver .

Jérôme Vallet was the eldest son of the engraver Guillaume Vallet . On August 26, 1702 he became a member of the Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture and carried the title of "draftsman and ordinary engraver of the king" ( French: Dessinateur et graveur ordinaire du Roi ). On September 22, 1705, he married Marie-Geneviève Picard, a daughter of the engraver Pierre Picard, and the couple had several children:

The son Jean-Emmanuel-Jérôme Vallet (* June 21, 1722; † 1762 [?]) Was also a copper engraver and mainly engraved maps.
