Jérôme de La Mothe-Houdancourt

Jérôme de La Mothe-Houdancourt (* 1617 ; † May 29, 1693 in Saint-Flour ) was bishop of the French diocese of Saint-Flour from 1664 to 1693 .

Life

Jérôme de La Mothe-Houdancourt was a brother of Marshal Philippe de La Mothe-Houdancourt and the bishops Henri and Daniel de La Mothe-Houdancourt . Appointed Bishop of Saint-Flour by King Louis XIV , he soon received his papal certificate of appointment and was consecrated in Compiègne on August 17, 1664 . He remained in office for 29 years and died on May 29, 1693 in his episcopal city.
