The Jönköping International Business School ( JIBS ) is as a company ( aktiebolag organized) part of the private university in Jonkoping in the Swedish province Jonkopings . It is a business school (Swedish Handelshögskolan ) and has the right to award doctorates and habilitation . JIBS was accredited by EQUIS and AACSB in 2015 and is a member of the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management and PRME, a UN- funded network of international business schools and universities.

Rankings and accreditations

Jönköping International Business School occupies top places in various rankings. In 2009 the Academy of Management listed JIBS as # 9 (# 4 outside the USA) among the top 100 business schools in their report on research leadership in entrepreneurial research . In 2010 the book The Future of Business Schools listed JIBS among the top five academic management schools in Sweden . Eduniversal lists JIBS among the Excellent Business Schools (3 palms).

In the 2010 winter semester, JIBS initiated the EQUIS and AACSB accreditation processes. Both accreditations have existed since 2015. JIBS was the first business school in Sweden to receive both AACSB and EQUIS accreditation.

Library

The college's library was named Sweden's Library of the Year in 2005 and is home to literature from the fields of business studies, entrepreneurship, corporate governance , SMEs and innovation. Part of the library is the Information Center for Entrepreneurship (ICE) which, with over 35,000 volumes in 15 languages, is the world's largest research collection on the subject of business start-ups and management.
