from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jörg Bockstorfer (* 15th century in Memmingen ; † 16th century) was a German painter in Ulm . He was called upon to tax there in 1499 and was named in the books as a citizen in 1500 . In 1509 he received payment for “painting his work with the crucifix ze.” In 1507, the painter Daniel Schüchlin recommended Bockstorfer to the council of Nördlingen . The city of Ulm granted him five years' leave from the city of Ulm in 1516 and 1521. He is probably identical to the painter Jörg Bochsler, also Bochser and Boxler, who is documented in 1499 in Ulm.
