Jörn Kreke

Jörn Kreke (* 1940 in Cologne ) is a German entrepreneur.

Life

Kreke attended high school in the USA until 1958. He then studied marketing and economics at Michigan State University and received his doctorate in 1965 under Fritz Neumark at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . As early as 1963 he became the assistant to his father Herbert Eklöh in the management of Hussel Süßwarenfilialbetrieb AG. In 1969 he took over the chairmanship of the board, which he handed over to his son Henning Kreke in 2001 . Then he became chairman of the supervisory board. Since 2014 he has been honorary chairman of the supervisory board of Douglas Holding AG. He was or is also active in the following areas: Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Capital Stage , Chairman of the Trade Committee of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry , Vice President of the South Westphalian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hagen, Chairman of the Society of Friends of the FernUniversität Hagen and promoter of the Protestant Foundation's work for the disabled Volmarstein .
