Jörn Wolf

Jörn Wolf (born January 24,  1976 ) is a German journalist and football official .

Life

Wolf, who actively played soccer at TuS Holstein Quickborn , TuS Hasloh and SV Rugenbergen as well as tennis in Quickborn, completed a traineeship at the Hamburg football newspaper Sport Microphone and then worked for the Hamburger Morgenpost . From 2002 to November 2016 he was media director of Hamburger SV .

In January 2017, Wolf took up the post of “Coordinator of the coaching and functional team” at Bayer Leverkusen and thus became a close associate of head coach Roger Schmidt . His tasks included coordinating the various sub-areas within the coaching and supervisory staff. In June 2017, Wolf joined Schmidt in the same area of ​​responsibility for the Chinese association Beijing Gouan . Wolf and Schmidt wrote the book “Trainer. At work". For the 2020/21 season he moved to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands , where he again became Schmidt's assistant.
