Jørgen Reenberg

Jørgen Reenberg (born November 8, 1927 in Frederiksberg , Denmark ) is a Danish actor .

Life

Jørgen Reenberg is the son of the two actors Holger Reenberg and Ellen Carstensen Reenberg . His older sister was the director Annelise Reenberg and his half-brother the actor Palle Reenberg . From 1944 to 1948 he trained as an actor at Det Kongelige Teater and made his stage debut there in 1947 while still studying. He also spent some of his acting studies with French actor René Simon in Paris . He then became a permanent member of his theater company and was seen in films such as So begins a life , So begins a life and The Troublemaker until 1960 . During this time he received an offer for a seven-year contract from Metro Goldwyn Mayer , which he declined in favor of his career in Denmark.

Although Reenberg was still in films like Die Augen des Wolfes , Europa and Dina - Meine Geschichte , he spent most of his career on Danish theater stages. He has received many awards for his game. In 1972 he received the Theater Cup and in 1993 the Lauritzen Prize . For his 54-year theater career, he was honored with the prestigious national theater award Reumert in 2000, and six years later, for his supporting role in Henri Nathansen's Indenfor murene, another award for Best Actor followed.

In 2012 Reenberg published his autobiography with ..men voksen blev jeg aldrig .

After his first marriage to Marianne Zobel in 1955, Reenberg was married to actress Ghita Nørby from 1970 to 1978 .
