Parish Church Prambachkirchen
The Roman Catholic parish church of Prambachkirchen is located in the municipality of Prambachkirchen in the Eferding district in Upper Austria . It is consecrated to St. Margaret and belongs to the Deanery Eferding in the Diocese of Linz . The building is a listed building .
history
The church is first mentioned in a document around 1200. The building is a late Gothic hall church from the first quarter of the 16th century. The church was restored in 1894 and 1938.
Church building
- Church exterior
The church is an originally Gothic country church, which was later completely redesigned in Baroque style . The tower in the northern choir corner from 1528 has an onion dome from 1835. A chapel was built on the north side.
- Church interior
The Gothic church has a two-aisled nave with three nave bays. The retracted choir has two bays and ends at the five-eighth end with retracted struts. Both the nave and the choir are vaulted with mesh ribs . The west gallery is triaxial and rests on ribbed vaults.
Furnishing
The decor is neo-Gothic . The former high altar painting depicts St. Margaret hangs in the choir. It was painted by Josef Stainer in 1760 .
Bell jar
The bell was cast in the 15th century.
