The Jewish cemetery in Assen , the capital of the Dutch province of Drenthe , was laid out in the 18th century. The Jewish cemetery on Oude Haarweg is half a hectare in size. Today 394 tombstones are still preserved in the cemetery.

In 1951 a memorial was erected in memory of the victims of the Shoah .
