The Jewish cemetery in Enger , a town in the southwest of the East Westphalian district of Herford ( North Rhine-Westphalia ), was established in the mid-1820s. The Jewish cemetery on Ziegelstrasse is a protected architectural monument .

history

The Jewish community in Enger buried their dead before setting up their own cemetery in the Jewish cemetery in Bünde . The last burial in the Jewish cemetery in Enger took place in 1938. Today there are still 56 tombstones ( mazewot ).
