The Jewish cemetery in Šafov in the South Moravian district of Okres Znojmo in the Czech Republic was established towards the end of the 17th century.

There was a Jewish community in the village from the second half of the 17th century , which was concentrated in the Jewish quarter and originally comprised 126 houses, of which only ten are preserved today. The synagogue , built in 1821/22, was destroyed by the National Socialist rulers during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia .

In the cemetery with an area of ​​5013 m² there are still 920 gravestones ( Mazevot ) preserved, the oldest are from 1720.

The Austrian politicians Hertha Firnberg , Bruno Kreisky and Johannes Hahn have Jewish ancestors in Šafov.
