Jewish cemetery (Duingen)
The Jewish cemetery Duingen is a Jewish cemetery in spots Duingen in the joint community Leinebergland in Lower Saxony Hildesheim . It is a protected cultural monument .
There are 13 tombstones in the 71 m² cemetery , which is located far outside the village in a south-east direction on a small hilltop . They have been severely damaged by ax blows.
history
The cemetery was occupied from 1874 to 1919; The oldest and the youngest tombstone come from these years. The cemetery was destroyed in April 1939, but not cleared. It was severely overgrown by 2006, but was restored from 2006 to 2008 by the Heimat- und Kulturverein Duingen.
