Jewish cemetery (Eilpe)
The Jewish cemetery in Eilpe , a district of Hagen in the southeastern part of the Ruhr area , was inaugurated in 1920. The cemetery of the Jewish community of Hagen is located on Hohle Straße and is a protected architectural monument .
The first so-called "Hagen Jewish Cemetery" from 1820 was on Böhmerstrasse. In 1966 this cemetery was deedicated and the remains of those buried here were transferred to the cemetery in Eilpe. Burials are still carried out today in the 4000 m² cemetery. There is a memorial stone for the victims of the Kehillah in the Shoah on the cemetery grounds .
