The Jewish cemetery in Höringhausen , a district of the city of Waldeck in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district ( Hesse ), was built in the middle of the 19th century. The Jewish cemetery is about 500 meters from the village on Komberg and is 100 meters away from the railway line. Behind the viaduct , a dirt road leads to the right to the cemetery, which lies between agricultural areas.

history

The cemetery of the Jewish community in Höringhausen was occupied for the last time in 1936 (Hermann Katz, died February 12, 1936). 25 tombstones ( mazewot ) are still preserved in the 27.40 ares large cemetery . Some of the inscriptions can no longer be read.
