The Jewish cemetery in Podivín (German Kostel , also Podiwin ), a South Moravian town in the Czech Republic , was laid out in the second half of the 17th century.

history

The Jewish cemetery in the north of the city has been a protected cultural monument since 1988 .

Around 1000 gravestones ( Mazevot ) are still present in the cemetery today . The oldest dates from 1694.

The mourning hall at the entrance dates from the middle of the 19th century.
