Rogatica Jewish cemetery

The Rogatica Jewish Cemetery ( Bosnian Jevrejsko groblje u Rogatici ) is located in Rogatica , a small town and municipality in the east of Bosnia and Herzegovina , which has belonged to the Republika Srpska since the Bosnian War .

The Jewish cemetery was established in 1900 on the western slope of a hill outside the city. In the small cemetery there are 16 tombstones protruding from the ground and ten more, presumably older stones, that have sunk into the ground. The cemetery is surrounded by a damaged solid wall. Inscriptions on the tombstones are in Hebrew , in Ladino , the Romance language of the Sephardim , and in Serbo-Croatian . There is a memorial for the victims in World War II .
