At the district cemetery at the foot of the Schwanberg , not far from the entrance, there is a grave field consisting of five gravestones and a memorial for those who fell in the First World War from the catchment area of the cemetery.
On the monument made of black marble, which is located on the ground in front of the five gravestones, all of which are provided with military symbols, the inscription can be read: In the World War 1914/18, the following members of the Rödelsee cemetery district gave their lives in the most faithful fulfillment of their duties .

The five tombstones in the complex are dedicated to individual fallen soldiers. The inscription is in Hebrew on the front of four gravestones and in German on the reverse.
Vice Sergeant dR Kurt Lehmann son of Eduard and Helene Lehmann Marktbreit, b. June 22nd, 1895, joined the field service at the outbreak of the World War in 1914 as a volunteer to fight for the fatherland. Wounded by a shot in the head near Souain (France) on July 15, 1918, he came back healed from the field, but died unexpectedly as a result of his wound on July 10, 1919 in Frankfurt aM
