Jürgen Eckhardt

Jürgen Eckhardt (born July 15, 1938 in Königsberg ) is a German lawyer .

Career

Eckhardt grew up in Heilbronn, Kirchheim am Neckar and Duisburg, where he graduated from high school in 1957. He then studied law for eight semesters in Tübingen and Münster and passed both exams with distinction. In 1966 he founded a law firm in Stuttgart. Today he is a senior partner at the Eckhardt & Göritz law firm.

Eckhardt has been volunteering in professional organizations since the mid-1960s. He was a freelance association and guild counsel in the Baden-Wuerttemberg motor vehicle trade and tariff leader in the collective bargaining community related to the motor vehicle trade. From 1976 he made a significant contribution to the establishment of the Baden-Württemberg Bar Association and was a member of its board from 1976 to 2011. In 1985 he was a co-founder of the lawyers' pension scheme in Baden-Württemberg and was its chairman until 2009. He was also a board member of the Bar Association and the Association of Liberal Professions.

  • 1987: Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany "for his extraordinary voluntary commitment"
  • 2011: Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany
